Jewish celebrities from around the world celebrate Passover

The crème de la crème of Hollywood wish fans a happy Passover

Chag Sameach to all those celebrating Passover! Passover, or Pesach, is one of the most significant festivals in the Jewish calendar, meaning many Jewish celebrities have publicly wished their friends and fans a happy holiday.

Passover is one of the most significant festivals in the Jewish calendar and serves as a celebration of the story of Exodus. Many Jews gather to remember their ancestors leaving Egypt, where they had been enslaved by Pharaoh.

Traditionally, the first night of Passover includes a ritual meal called the Seder, the Hebrew phrase for "order." The event reflects how the meal is served in an order set out in the Passover Haggadah, a didactic Jewish text.

During Seder, everyone has a cushion to rest on, reminding them that they are no longer enslaved like their ancestors. On the table, there are typically three Matzah flatbreads. At the start of the Seder, the middle Matzah is broken into bits and the largest piece is hidden, this is for the youngest child to hunt in order to win a small prize.
